A Space to Feel Heard, Heal, and Grow

Compassionate, evidence-based counseling for teens and adults in Washington and Idaho

Brittany Haugen, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington and Idaho.

A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Brittany. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing secure telehealth counseling services to teens and adults in Washington and Idaho.

For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they’ve navigated some of life’s most challenging moments. Throughout my career, I’ve learned that behind every person’s struggle is a story, and that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

I know that reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy. Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety, carrying experiences from your past, or finding yourself caught in patterns you’d like to change. Maybe you’re so used to staking care of everyone and everything around you that you’ve lost sight of what you need. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to have it all figured out before we begin.

One of the things I value most about being a therapist is building genuine connections with people. I enjoy helping individuals recognize strengths they may have forgotten they had, better understand themselves, and discover that change is possible, even when things feel difficult.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy should be a collaborative experience built around you. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to healing, and I want our work together to reflect your individual experiences, needs, and goals.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and individualized. I incorporate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These approaches can help us explore the experiences and patterns contributing to your struggles, process difficult experiences, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build tools you can carry into everyday life.

I believe meaningful change happens when you feel supported while also having the opportunity to challenge yourself, discover new perspectives, and grow at your own pace.

Who I Work With

I especially enjoy working with teens and adults navigating:

  • Anxiety and chronic worry

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences

  • Depression and emotional overwhelm

  • Relationship and interpersonal challenges

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Life transitions and major changes

  • Feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to break

Whether you’re hoping to better understand yourself, work through something painful, strengthen your confidence, or simply feel more like yourself again, taking that first step can open the door to meaningful change.

What You Can Expect

I recognize that reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating. You might not know where to start, what to say, or even what you need. That’s okay.

My goal is to create an environment where you feel comfortable showing up as you are. You won’t be expected to have all the answers or make changes before you’re ready. We’ll work together to understand what’s happening, identify what matters most to you, and find a path forward that feels manageable and meaningful.

I bring both professional experience and genuine care into the work I do. I want our work together to be an opportunity to speak openly, ask questions, explore difficult things, and know that your experiences matter.

You deserve support, and you don’t have to navigate everything on your own.
